WWE announced an injury update on Bayley after she was removed from her match at WrestleMania 41 this past weekend.
Bayley’s removal saw her replaced by the returning Becky Lynch, who won the WWE Tag Team Championship alongside Lyra Valkyria.
On tonight’s Raw after WrestleMania, Lynch and Valkyria defended the championship in a rematch against the team they beat at Mania, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.
On commentary during the match, Michael Cole announced an injury to Bayley, who was attacked backstage during the WrestleMania Countdown show, which is how she was written out of the match.
Cole said Bayley suffered a “partial shoulder dislocation with an anterior labral tear.”
He stated that she would be out for “a bit of time.”
Bayley is believed to not be legitimately injured and her being written out of the match at WrestleMania was just a storyline that had been planned for a few weeks ahead of the show.
Responding to criticism of that decision, WWE CCO Triple H said in the post-WrestleMania press conference that Bayley will be “just fine” and called her a “true pro”.
