UPDATE: Bayley’s internal roster status has been revealed ahead of WWE Raw. More at this link.
The latest update has emerged on the WWE status of Bayley, who has been a topic of conversation among many fans of late.
After she and the rest of Damage CTRL – Dakota Kai and IYO SKY – lost a six-woman tag team match against Becky Lynch, Lita and Trish Stratus at WrestleMania 39, Bayley vaguely tweeted:
And sometimes the most romantic love story comes to an end.
Bye
Naturally, that got fans talking, with theories ranging from Damage CTRL splitting up all the way to Bayley leaving WWE entirely.
Concerns ramped up once again when Bayley was absent from the Raw after WrestleMania.
Reports emerged afterwards that her not accompanying Kai and SKY to the ring for their tag team match was a late change, among many late changes, made by Vince McMahon who was backstage running the show that night.
Providing some clarity, according to PWInsider Elite (via SEScoops), there’s “no expectation” that Bayley is leaving WWE.
Bayley’s tweet, according to the report, is not a sign that she’s “unhappy” or her “creative is being dropped”.
Vince McMahon was NOT at SmackDown on April 7, but he did reportedly have some input remotely, however made no major changes to plans.
Bayley obviously wasn’t on SmackDown and was never planned to be, so the April 10 episode of Raw will likely give us a big sign of what her future holds – will she be back with Damage CTRL if Vince McMahon’s not there, etc.
