Blair Davenport (Bea Priestley) has opened up about her wrestling career, explaining why she chose to sign with WWE.
In June, it was reported that Bea Priestley, now Blair Davenport, had signed with WWE. Davenport made her NXT UK in-ring debut on July 8, defeating Laura Di Matteo in singles action.
On her Instagram story, Davenport responded to a fan who asked her why she decided to sign with WWE. Noting that she always wanted to end up with the company, Davenport wrote:
“Always was an end goal. I wanted to work in as many different places as possible to gain experience and to accomplish a lot of personal goals. I’ve been able to work for companies that I never thought would have been a possibility and have exceeded my own expectations. I am very happy with how my wrestling journey has played out so far and I’m excited for the future I’m going to create.”
Davenport was previously a big name for STARDOM, holding the World of Stardom Championship for 184 days in 2019. She was also an early member of the AEW women’s division, before being released in August 2020.
Davenport had previously revealed the backstage origins of her new ring name.
