Becky Lynch will forever go down in history as not only the first woman to be both the Raw and Smackdown Women’s Champion at the same time, but also the first woman to be victorious in the main event of WrestleMania.
However, it is a shame that when the “show of shows” drew to a close on Sunday night, people were not talking about the fact Becky won, but the controversial manner in which she prevailed.
There are conflicting reports about the finish of the match. Some have said that end of the historic bout ‘went as planned’, whilst others are reporting it was botched. The claims the finish was a mistake were intensified when it was reported that the referee for Sunday’s match was fined.
However, “The Man” has spoken to Gorilla Position about her thoughts on the finish of the match.
“I’m happy I beat her with a wrestling move after she talked about how…..she insulted my business. She insulted my business and I beat her with a wrestling move. That’s all we need to know. The ref counted to three and I became Becky Two Belts.”
We are not sure if the ending to the match was botched, but even if it was, Becky would unlikely be allowed to acknowledge it in interviews. Instead, she is taking a coy approach when asked about it, as is to be expected.
