Last night’s WWE Raw saw Maxxine Dupri defend her Women’s Intercontinental Championship, and former champion Becky Lynch has since reacted to the match.
After losing the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship on the November 17 episode of Raw, Becky Lynch has had a lot to say about who is to blame for the title change.
With Lynch having boycotted a previous episode of WWE Raw, she has also issued threats of legal action against the corruption of General Manager Adam Pearce and official Jessika Carr.
She has been equally unimpressed by the new champion, more so now that Maxxine Dupri has her own side plates on the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
In a video shared on the official WWE Twitter account, Dupri can be seen hold her title, complete with her name on the side plates, saying:
“Oh, my gosh. Look at that. Oh my god, it’s perfect. It’s just so clean. I love her. Truly perfection.
“This has been the longest three weeks of my life, waiting for these bad boys (the sideplates), and I feel like now it’s official.
“I know it was official when I pinned her but this feels like it’s all solidified.”
Responding to the sight of Dupri with the championship belt, Lynch would suggest an alternative name for the sideplates, tweeting:
“THIS IS AN ABOMINATION!!! The title that I made BEAUTIFUL AND RELEVANT now looks CHEAP and PATHETIC! Those plates should say CHEATER and FRAUD!!!”
Dupri would go on to her first televised title defense, defeating Ivy Nile to retain the championship, with Lynch equally unimpressed by the very idea of that match.
Seemingly referencing GUNTHER being sent home by Adam Pearce after opening WWE Raw following his victory over Cena, Lynch would state:
“So let me get this straight…you win your match LEGITIMATELY and you get sent home!!!! You win your match ILLEGALLY (OUTSIDE INTERFERENCE) and not only do you NOT get PUNISHED, but rewarded?! SAD!!! WHAT HAS MONDAY NIGHT RAW BECOME?!”
She would be equally angered by Dupri’s victory over Ivy Nile, calling for the record to be corrected, tweeting:
“THIS MATCH SHOULD NEVER HAVE HAPPENED IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! MAXXINE DID NOT SUCCESSFULLY WIN HER FIRST TITLE DEFENSE BECAUSE I AM STILL THE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION!!! IT DOES NOT COUNT!!! THE BULLDOG HAS NOTIFIED THE WWE RECORDS DEPARTMENT!!”
With John Cena having submitted to GUNTHER at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, Lynch also had issues with that result, stating she would “never” tap out.
THIS IS AN ABOMINATION!!! The title that I made BEAUTIFUL AND RELEVANT now looks CHEAP and PATHETIC! Those plates should say CHEATER and FRAUD!!! https://t.co/YpIlnnqoYB
