Top WWE Star Opens Up On Celebrity Wrestling

A top WWE star has opened up on celebrity wrestling in the company.

At WWE Backlash, Bad Bunny had his first official non-Royal Rumble match since WrestleMania 37 when he defeated Damian Priest in a San Juan Street Fight.

Meanwhile, Logan Paul has become a part-time star for WWE with his last match being against Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 39.

In an interview with Mark Andrews on the “My Love Letter to Wrestling” podcast, Becky Lynch discussed the inclusion of celebrities in WWE and revealed that she wants to see real pro wrestlers at WrestleMania. She said:

“I want to see the people that love this, that work for this, that are working year round, making the towns, wrestling four days a week and not being home to see their family, not being able to take vacations because this is a 52 week-a-year gig, and I want them to get more and I want them to wrestle on WrestleMania. That’s what I want. I don’t care about the celebrities.”

“You don’t sacrifice like we do for this business. You just come in for the spotlight. And good for you and thank you for bringing in some eyes, but that’s not what this business is built on. That’s not what this business is built on.”

Becky Lynch recently made her return to WWE on the May 8 edition of WWE Raw, confronting WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus.
