Becky Lynch Plans Reportedly Revealed With WWE Contract Expiring WWE

Becky Lynch had her last match under her current WWE deal on the May 27 episode of Raw, facing Liv Morgan in a steel cage.

Morgan picked up the win after attempted interference from Dominik Mysterio cost Lynch once again, just like it did at King & Queen of the Ring

Fightful Select has reported that Lynch’s current WWE deal expires on June 1 with a new contract not signed as of the morning of Raw.

Looking at Lynch’s status, PW Torch editor Wade Keller has provided further insight into the apparent future of the former WWE Women’s World Champion.

According to PW Torch’s sources, Lynch “is not, according to what she’s telling people in WWE, going to AEW imminently.”

Further to this, “multiple sources with insights into her situation” have reported that Lynch will be “taking a hiatus”.

As PW Torch notes, the reasoning behind the hiatus isn’t known, with Keller stating:

“We are not aware of whether this is to spend more time at home and take a break from the grind or if it’s out of frustration with her contract offer from WWE.”

A further source described as “a colleague” of Lynch stated that she “will return to WWE some day,” with the colleague also “confident [both parties] can work out a deal”.

After WrestleMania 40, it was reported that Lynch would be taking time off, although this never really happened as WWE brought her back when Rhea Ripley suffered an injury.

Similarly, PWInsider reports that WWE sources believe they will come to terms on a new agreement with Lynch, but nothing is confirmed as of yet.

Lynch signed with WWE in April 2013 and made her NXT TV debut on June 26, 2014, and her main roster debut in July 2015.

She has gone on to be an eight-time singles champion, along with holding the Women’s Tag Team Championship with Lita, and being a Royal Rumble winner in 2019.

Becky Lynch’s husband Seth Rollins recently re-signed with WWE as his contract also came close to expiring.

Similarly, the likes of Drew McIntyre and Damian Priest have re-signed with their contracts about to end as well.

If Lynch doesn’t sign a new WWE deal by June 1, which is just four days away, she’ll officially be a free agent.

We’ll keep you posted with any further updates.
