Becky Lynch has reacted to the Raw Women’s Championship being left off of Sunday’s (May 8) WWE WrestleMania Backlash Premium Live Event.
Only one title was defended at WrestleMania Backlash, with Ronda Rousey defeating Charlotte Flair in an I Quit match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
While other titleholders, including WWE Universal Champion, were in action on the show, Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair didn’t wrestle during the Premium Live Event.
Reminding fans of (in her opinion) better days, Lynch took to Twitter to note:
When I was champ, my title was defended on every ppv. #WWEBacklash
Belair defeated Lynch for the Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 38 in April. The EST defended her gold against Sonya Deville on the April 25 edition of Raw, and last wrestled on last week’s edition of Raw in six-woman tag-team action.
Following WrestleMania, Lynch has found herself feuding with long-time rival Asuka. The Empress of Tomorrow returned to WWE TV on the April 25 Raw, after 9 months away from the ring due to injury.
