Becky Lynch Reveals She Didn’t Want To Be Marketed As “The Mom” By WWE

The night after Money in the Bank, Becky Lynch vacated the Raw Women’s Championship before announcing that she would be taking some time after from the ring as she was pregnant.

This obviously came as fantastic news to both Becky and her fiancée, fellow Raw star Seth Rollins. Becky has not appeared on WWE TV since the announcement.

Very soon after the announcement, WWE started selling “The Mom” t-shirts that were of a very similar style to her “The Man” merchandise.

While appearing on The Bella Twins’ podcast, Becky revealed that she really didn’t want to be marketed as “The Mom” by WWE following her pregnancy announcement.

The clip, which you can listen to by clicking this link has Becky revealing that she told Seth Rollins prior to their announcement that she knew WWE would brand her as “The Mom” moving forward:

“I really didn’t want to be marketed as “The Mom”. That’s one thing I told Colby [Seth Rollins], I was like “Man, they’re going to make me “The Mom”, I know it, I know it. He was like “no they’re not”. As soon as I said it, a frigging t-shirt came out”.

Once again, everyone at WrestleTalk would like to wish Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins the best at this very exciting new chapter of their lives.
