Multi-time former WWE Women’s Champion Becky Lynch is reportedly set for a role in an upcoming Netflix movie featuring a top AEW star.
With Becky Lynch recently being spotted in the official commercial for WWE Raw on Netflix, as well as being in attendance at a media event at Netflix HQ early last month, fans are eagerly anticipating an imminent TV return for The Man.
The WWE Raw on Netflix premiere on January 6 should provide us a clear update on Lynch’s plans, but it seems as if her connection with Netflix won’t just be limited to WWE TV.
According to PWInsider’s Mike Johnson, Lynch has filmed a supporting role in Happy Gilmore 2, the upcoming sequel to the 1990s comedy classic once again starring Adam Sandler.
The report states that Lynch is set to portray a golfer in the film, being among a group that also features NFL legend Reggie Bush.
Fans will likely be aware that AEW’s MJF is also set for a role in Happy Gilmore 2, playing Adam Sandler’s son in the movie.
The former AEW World Champion was absent from live TV whilst filming his role in the film, appearing exclusively via pre-filmed vignettes for much of his feud with Adam Cole and The Undisputed Kingdom.
Filming for Happy Gilmore 2 was said to have wrapped last month, but the movie does not yet have an official release date at this time.
This is not the only acting role for Lynch to be announced recently, with the Irish star also revealing she will feature in an upcoming Paramount+ series – click here for full details.
