Becky Lynch has reportedly discussed original plans for her WWE return, revealing that there was a pitch for her to return at WrestleMania 37.
Lynch made a surprise appearance at SummerSlam last month, defeating Bianca Belair in an impromptu SmackDown Women’s Championship match.
Earlier this year, it was speculated that Lynch was going to return to action at WrestleMania in April. As per Alex McCarthy of talkSPORT, Lynch has revealed that she was good to go come the Show of Shows.
Additionally, Lynch noted that there were plans for her to wrestle Bayley at the event were discussed internally.
Becky Lynch just told me she was originally good to go for WrestleMania and it was discussed she’d face Bayley.
That didn’t happen (obviously) and then she was meant to return in October before WWE called her the week of SummerSlam.

On the second night of WrestleMania 37, Bayley featured in a segment with The Bella Twins instead. During the two shows, Lynch teased her WWE return on social media.
At Extreme Rules this Sunday, Lynch defends her SmackDown Women’s Title against former champion Bianca Belair.
