Former WWE Diva’s Champion Paige officially said goodbye to WWE yesterday (July 6) with a heartfelt message on the Player’s Tribune.
Paige revealed last month that her WWE contract was set to expire, and her and the company had not reached a deal on an extension, meaning she is not under a non-compete clause.
Several of Paige’s former co-workers took to Twitter to thank Paige for her services in the company, including Becky Lynch, who has a lot of history with Paige dating back to before either woman got signed to WWE.
Paige and Becky were also part of the Team PCB stable together with Charlotte Flair when Becky and Charlotte were originally called up to WWE’s main roster back in 2015.
Putting over Paige for ‘changing the game forever’, Becky wrote:
I met Saraya when she was only 13 years old. Even then you could tell that she was going to be a star. Before she could legally drink in America, she had changed the game completely and forever. #thankyoupaige
Several stars outside of WWE have already expressed their interest in working with the former Diva’s Champion, including current AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa, who claimed that ‘everyone would benefit’ from Paige joining AEW.
