Yes, you did read that right and it’s okay to be frightened. Becky Lynch is being set up for a match with Stephanie McMahon after WrestleMania 35.
Anyone who watched Raw last night will know that Becky Lynch was suspended from WWE after refusing to see doctors for her kayfabe knee injury, and then subsequently attacked Stephanie McMahon.
It was refreshing to see that Stephanie was willing to take a bump or two to get someone over, but if what Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio is true, it’s not the last bump Steph will be taking at the hands of Lynch.
If we’re right in thinking that Becky will leave WrestleMania with the title, then it would be logical that the planned Stephanie match is for the title, which is a sobering thought.
If WWE are planning on building Becky up just to have her lose to Stephanie McMahon, I may have to break every bone in my body as a distraction.
It wouldn’t be a year in WWE if at least two McMahon’s weren’t shoved into in-ring storylines. You’ve got Shane as the current SmackDown Tag Champion alongside Miz, so if Stephanie wins the Raw Women’s Title, all you need is for Vince to win the Universal Title and Linda to team with Stephanie to win the Women’s Tag Championships.
I’m sorry for suggesting all of the above.
