Becky Lynch Credits WWE Legend’s Promos For Getting Her Back Into Wrestling WWE

Becky Lynch has credited a WWE Hall of Famer’s promos for getting her back into wrestling at a young age.

As well as being a seven-time world champion inside the ring, Becky Lynch has long been known to be one of WWE’s best talkers – with “The Man” currently excelling in her heel role on television heading into 2026.

Speaking on First We Feast’s Heat Eaters, Lynch credited the promos of another all-time great Mick Foley for getting her back into wrestling when she was younger, with the Irish star initially attracted to the storytelling and pageantry of WWE more than the in-ring action.

When asked what attracted her to wrestling, Lynch said:

“I think it was the storytelling, I remember watching it when we were way younger, like Ultimate Warrior and then we fell out of it.

“And then my brother started watching it around the Attitude Era and Mick Foley would come on and cut these promos and I would just kind of be transfixed, it was the pageantry. It was like less the wrestling in the beginning.”
