It’s being reported that Bellator MMA fighter Valerie Loureda is expected to sign with WWE in very near future.
According to Fightful Select, WWE sources said Loureda made a “great impression” in her recent tryout and seemed like a “slam dunk” to be signed.
The belief right now is the signing isn’t official yet, but WWE hopes to have her signed and reporting to the WWE Performance Center by mid-July.
Bellator wanted to keep hold of her, so her deal with them would be put on hold during her WWE run, and would then resume if she’s ever released by WWE.
She was seen around NXT talent during her tryout, and multiple people at the PC said they heard she did “very well”.
Loureda is currently 23, turning 24 on July 19. She has a 4-1-0 pro record in MMA and is affiliated with American Top Team, which of course has a major presence on AEW TV with Dan Lambert and Paige VanZant.
