With rumours of many returns on tonight’s WWE Extreme Rules premium live event, fans watched on for any returning stars making their presence felt.
One such return happened during the Edge vs Finn Balor I Quit match, which had spilt around the arena before both men returned to the ring.
Edge appeared set to make Balor quit before Balor’s Judgment Day cohorts Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio ran out to aid their stablemate.
As the Judgment Day handcuffed Edge against the ropes, Rey Mysterio ran out to save Edge, as did Edge’s wife WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix.
Phoenix got physical with Ripley, with Beth taking the key to the handcuffs off of Rhea. Edge then seemed set to have Balor quit, as he attempted the Glasgow Grin, before Rhea took out Phoenix with a brass knuckles shot.
When Edge still refused to quit after four Coup De Graces, Rhea attempted to hit a con-chair-to to Phoenix, which led to Edge saying I Quit.
After Edge quit, Rhea went ahead and hit the con-chair-to on Phoenix anyway.
