Last night’s SummerSlam event kicked off in a big way, with the rematch between Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Championship opening the show, with Bianca retaining her title.
After the match, Becky and Bianca shook hands and hugged, seemingly turning Becky babyface, which was then solidified when Bayley, IYO SKY and Dakota Kai returned, leading to Becky standing alongside her former rival.
With the two now sharing respect, the kayfabe can be dropped and the two can put each other over on social media, which Bianca wasted no time doing, taking to her Instagram story to say the following about Becky.
Becky mf’n Lynch.
She STANDS UP, STEPS UP, and SHOWS UP. EVERY SINGLE TIME. For herself and everyone.
1 YEAR! 3 iconic unforgettable matches/moments.
INVALUABLE to this ENTIRE division and the future of Women’s wrestling.
No better person to learn from.
#Respect
Becky may have suffered a shoulder injury during the match, as she was seen holding her right shoulder after the match, but it has not been confirmed as of this writing.
