Top WWE Star Admits To Being ‘A Little Jealous’ When Rhea Ripley Faced Beth Phoenix

A top WWE star has admitted to being “a little jealous” when Rhea Ripley faced Beth Phoenix.

At WWE Elimination Chamber, Edge teamed with his wife and WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix to defeat The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor and Rhea Ripley.

This was the culmination of a months-long rivalry that started with Ripley delivering the con-chair-to on Phoenix back at Extreme Rules in October 2022.

Meanwhile, Bianca Belair has reigned as the Raw Women’s Champion for well over a year since defeating Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 38 in April 2022.

In a new interview with DS of Ring the Belle prior to WrestleMania 39, Belair admitted that watching Ripley face Phoenix at Elimination Chamber made her a little jealous because “The Glamazon” has always been her dream opponent. She said:

“I wanted to hang out with Beth Phoenix. I mean, Rhea’s have a great year. She’s done a lot of amazing, great things. I’m just like, ‘I wanted that.'”

“Beth is amazing. She’s great. Whenever I came into WWE, my answer [for which legend I would want to face in a dream match was always] Beth Phoenix.”

“So I’m excited for Rhea. She’s doing amazing things, and I’m excited for her WrestleMania match, but I was a little jealous when she got to wrestle Beth Phoenix.”

Bianca Belair was drafted to the SmackDown brand on the first night of the WWE Draft 2023. Meanwhile, Rhea Ripley is not eligible to be drafted until the second night on the May 1 edition of WWE Raw.

Both women will be in action at next Saturday’s WWE Backlash event from San Juan, Puerto Rico. Belair will defend the Raw Women’s Championship against IYO SKY, while Ripley will face Zelina Vega for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
