Bianca Belair has reunited with the Divas of Compton, the dancers behind her WrestleMania 39 entrance in a truly inspirational moment.
Belair made her entrance at WrestleMania 39 supported by the Los Angeles youth group with footage from the entrance below this news story.
In the post-WrestleMania press conference, Triple H revealed that one member of the group had suffered a tragic loss earlier and recounted how the girl in question had wanted to continue with her role in the entrance.
In a video posted to WWE social media (that can be seen below), Belair returned to the home of the Divas of Compton.
As the post on social media explains:
“WWE Superstar @BiancaBelairWWE visits the @Divasofcompton Center to reunite with the inspiring dancers who were part of her WrestleMania 39 entrance, to recognize them as a WWE Community Champion, and to give them a surprise.”
Of her return to see the dancers, Belair says:
“I got the honor of working with them at WrestleMania and I got to visit them. I told them I was gonna come back and I wanted to keep my promise and come back.”
Speaking about her past and the importance of the group, she went on to say:
“The people I had in my life growing up, the foundation that they gave me and how they helped me with my success today, I see that happening here. I see myself in these little girls here and I see the things being instilled in these young women.”
While addressing the Divas of Compton, Belair would become emotional, saying:
“I’m just blown away by you guys. You’re so motivating, you’re so inspiring. The work that all of you guys do outside this building and in this community is amazing.
“But, the work you do in this building is inspiring. So, I am so excited to announce that the WWE is recognizing each and every one of you as a Community Champion.”
It goes beyond the accolade, however, with Belair also revealing:
“And, I want you guys to have air conditioning in this building, so we’re donating $25,000 to you guys.”
This was met with rapturous applause from all in attendance, with Keli Berry, Director of 1 Shine Youth Center, saying:
“This money is a seed that I want to plant to make sure I get what we need here – basic AC and heat that we don’t have. We need it.
“That’s what I’m going to use this $25,000 for. It’s gonna help take care of our utilities, our overhead and heat and air conditioning.”
In a personal moment between Belair and Berry, the WWE star explained:
“I feel like we met for a reason, I talk about you all the time and talk about what you’re doing here and I’m blown away by you, you’re amazing.
“We all need somebody to help us at times. I don’t consider it help, it’s something you guys deserve.”
Belair would reflect on the importance of the community aspect of being a WWE superstar.
Berry would also reveal that they were going to present Belair with an Honorary Diva of Compton Award.
