Big Cass Backstage Incident Rumor Killer
Someone who you can almost guarantee won’t be at WWE’s Hell in a Cell, though, is Big Cass. The man who is seven foot tall, which is apparently hard to teach, was fired by WWE last week just a few days after his loss to Daniel Bryan at Money in the Bank. Since then there have been conflicting reports about why Cass was fired – particularly because WWE did not wish Cass the best of luck in his future endeavours.
Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet reported that there was “a mix of multiple things” that led to his departure, including an incident on a WWE tour bus where he broke the door off the toilet, and Justin Barraso of Sports Illustrated also reported that Cass “was drinking the majority of [WWE‘s] European tour and had attitude issues when drunk.”
Then on Friday it was reported by WrestlingNews.co’s Taylor Underwood that the reason Cass was fired was because of a backstage incident with his former girlfriend and current Smackdown Women’s Champion Carmella. According to the report, Cass grabbed her by the arm backstage after “causing a scene” and he had to be pulled away by The Usos and Erick Rowan. However according to Rajah, this wasn’t the case at all and that report was false, writing that, “his past relationship with Carmella had nothing to do with his departure from WWE.”
It’s been reported that several independent wrestling companies have already shown an interest in bringing in Enzo Amore and Big Cass as a tag team but Cass will need to complete his 90-day non-compete clause before we find out if that ever happens.
