Big Championship Match Set For NXT TakeOver WarGames

After weeks of back and forth from Damian Priest, Johnny Gargano, and Leon Ruff, the three will now collide at NXT TakeOver WarGames.

During tonight’s episode of NXT, Leon Ruff appeared on the Kevin Owens Show. During his appearance, he said he was the NXT North American Champion because he had beaten Johnny Gargano twice. This led to Gargano making his way to the ring.

Gargano told Ruff the only reason he had the title was because of Damian Priest. He isn’t wrong, to be fair. Priest then came out and said Gargano was so mad because he knew Ruff was better than him. He then told Ruff he was never given a rematch.

To end the segment, William Regal came out and announced that the three would compete in a Triple Threat match for the North American title at NXT TakeOver WarGames.

Ruff, of course, won the North American Championship from Gargano after Gargano picked him as his opponent. Gargano had not had a long reign, having defeated Priest for the title only two weeks earlier. Hopefully, everything will be resolved when these three clash at TakeOver.
