Big Change To AEW Dynamite Match

One of tonight’s AEW Dynamite matches have been changed at the request of a popular AEW competitor.

AEW President Tony Khan has announced an alteration to tonight’s AEW Dynamite card. Khan announced this significant change on Twitter, making his decision after “a long talk with a good friend”.

Thanking fans for their support, Khan tweeted:

“I just had a long talk with a good friend & I’m going to make a significant change to one of the matches for #AEWDynamite tomorrow night Live on @tntdrama! An announcement will be coming soon. Thank you very much to you great fans who support @AEW & all pro wrestling & wrestlers!”

Matt Hardy was the “good friend”, announcing that he will now team with Marq Quen to face Hangman Page and John Silver. Hardy uploaded this video to Twitter, stating this is why Khan won his Booker and Promoter of the Year awards:

Hardy and Silver were originally scheduled for a 10-man tag team match. When a fan asked Khan why he changed the card, Khan noted that this match is much bigger with Hangman Page involved, especially with AEW Revolution just around the corner.

Pointing out Page’s impressive win streak, Khan tweeted:

“Matt asked for this match, and he’s right that it’s a much bigger tv match with Hangman involved, he’s won 6 straight and he’s one of the hottest wrestlers in the world.”

Hardy and Page battle at AEW Revolution this Sunday, with the winner walking away with the other competitor’s 2021 first quarter earnings.

This episode of AEW Dynamite is set to be huge, with Cody Rhodes and Red Velvet taking on Shaq and Jade Cargill.
