Big E has emotionally opened up about his current position within WWE following his Money in the Bank ladder match win.
One of the highlights of last night’s (July 18) show was Big E climbing the ladder and unhooking the Money in the Bank briefcase. To Big E, the briefcase represents years of hard work.
In a backstage interview, Big E noted that he wanted to truly prove that he was more than just a tag-team guy. Stating that he believes Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods helped him become the talent he is today, Big E argued that the real work for him start now.
Here is the video:
Earlier in the pay-per-view, Kofi Kingston unsuccessfully challenged for Bobby Lashley’s WWE Championship. Following the one-sided match, Kingston took to Twitter to apologize to fans.
Big E recently discussed his, Kingston’s and Woods’ roles within the WWE roster. Criticizing recent booking, Big E noted that he doesn’t want Woods to just be a foil in other people’s stories.
