Big E has recalled finding out that he was going to cash in the Money in the Bank contract for the WWE Title on Monday’s episode of Raw
It was previously reported that WWE internally made the decision for Big E to use his briefcase on Friday at SmackDown.
Speaking with Graham Matthews of Bleacher Report, Big E revealed that his appearance on Raw was a last minute decision. Confirming that the eventual title victory wasn’t planned more than a few days in advance, Big E said:
“When I started this loop, my intention was that I was supposed to be home Monday morning after the live event Sunday and I realized I was going to Raw last minute. That was a bit of a last-minute decision.
“There was also the option of maybe I go out there and do some teasing and come back later when it’s time to actually cash in or go back to SmackDown and cash in there. I wasn’t really sure. It was an afternoon, that day decision and it all happened very, very quickly. For me, it was definitely not something that was set in stone days and days ahead.”
Big E is now officially part of the Raw roster, alongside Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston of The New Day. The WWE Champion has said that he wants The Hurt Business to reunite to face him, Woods and Kingston.
