Former WWE Champion Big E has praised an NXT star, believing that it’s a no-brainer that he should be a main eventer.
The December 6 NXT Deadline event saw Oba Femi become a two-time NXT Champion, with Femi defeating Ricky Saints for the gold.
This win also earned Oba Femi a big-time opportunity to showcase his talents, with the NXT Champion set to face WWE Champion Cody Rhodes at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13.
Ahead of this exhibition match, Big E has taken to Twitter to praise Oba Femi, believing that there will be world championships in his future, beyond the NXT Title.
Big E wrote:
“I see you, @Obaofwwe! A no-brainer as a main eventer on any brand he’s on.
“Many more world championships to come. #NXTDeadline”
Oba Femi’s previous NXT Championship reign lasted for 262 days, starting after he won a three-way match against Eddy Thorpe and former champion Trick Williams at January’s New Year’s Evil, and ending at No Mercy in September, following a loss to Ricky Saints.
Another WWE NXT star who was in action at Deadline has criticized having velcro on championship belts, which you can read more about right here.
