Big In-Ring Return Set For WWE Smackdown

Big In-Ring Return Set For WWE Smackdown

Tomorrow night, Friday Night Smackdown is set to invade the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England as part of WWE’s European tour.

WWE has confirmed that Tyson Fury will be on the show following his victory over Braun Strowman at Crown Jewel. It has been reported that undefeated boxer Josh Warrington will also be on the show.

Tomorrow night’s show is shaping up to be must-see, as WWE has also confirmed that Sasha Banks will make her in-ring return on Smackdown.

Banks has not wrestled since being defeated by Becky Lynch at Hell In A Cell at the beginning of last month in a Raw Women’s Championship match.

As part of the show, Banks will be going one-on-one with Nikki Cross. Cross lost to Banks’ best friend Bayley in a Smackdown Women’s Championship match last week.

On the matter, WWE.com‘s article had the following to say:

Sasha Banks last competed in a Hell in a Cell showdown against Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch. Since that devastating defeat, The Boss has rallied behind her close friend Bayley by lending a hand to the SmackDown Women’s Champion in her victory over challenger Nikki Cross.

Now Cross seeks payback for The Boss’ involvement and the role she played in costing the former Women’s Tag Team Champion a chance to win the title.

Will The Boss make a splash in her return to the ring, or will Cross make Banks long for a return to the sidelines?

Based on recent live event advertisements, it has been speculated that The Miz will be the first challenger to The Fiend after Bray Wyatt won the Universal Championship at Crown Jewel.

Id this is the case, then WWE will likely use tomorrow night’s show to start that feud.
