Big Match Announced For AEW Dynamite

All Elite Wrestling has announced a big match for this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. For the first time in AEW, Kenny Omega will go one on one with Trent of Best Friends.

AEW made the announcement on Twitter.

An explosive match between @KennyOmegamanX & @trentylocks will take place tomorrow night on Dynamite!

While this will be a first for AEW, this is not the first time the two have ever face one another. In 2017, Kenny Omega defended the IWGP United States Championship against Trent (then known as Beretta) at New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Power Struggle event. After defeating Trent in a fantastic match, Omega was challenged by Chris Jericho to their classic Wrestle Kingdom 12 match.

Trent and his partners Chuck Taylor and Orange Cassidy have been feuding with the Death Triangle as of late. Best Friends challenged the Lucha Bros. to a Parking Lot Brawl at some point in the near future, so make sure to keep your eyes open for potential interference on Wednesday.

This match joins the card for this week’s Dynamite, while Lance Archer is also set to make his in-ring debut. Archer’s opponent has not been named as of yet but he has his sights set on Cody so he will be sure to make an impact.
