Another big match has been announced for the July 16 episode of WWE SmackDown in Houston with fans back in the arena.
With it being the final show before Money in the Bank, the four competitors from SmackDown in the eight-man ladder match will compete in a four-way next Friday.
That means, after last night’s qualifiers, it’s Big E vs Kevin Owens vs Shinsuke Nakamura vs Seth Rollins.
It was also announced last night that, because of Bayley’s torn ACL, Bianca Belair will defend the SmackDown Women’s Title on next week’s SmackDown instead of Money in the Bank.
She’ll be defending against Carmella, who has therefore been pulled from the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match and replaced by Liv Morgan.
While a title change may initially seem unlikely, it would make storyline sense for Carmella to win so Morgan can cash-in on her at a later date if she wins Money in the Bank.
