Last night (July 6), it was reported by Fightful Select that NXT star Roderick Strong had signed a new contract with the company before the debut of his new “Diamond Mine” faction.
Fightful Select is also reporting that the company has big plans for Roderick Strong, and that he factors into the 2021 plans for NXT in a major way.
It was previously reported that NXT plans to prominently feature the Cruiserweight Division this year, and Strong is one of the marquee names being added to the division to help add value to the championship.
Roderick Strong made his return to the company on the June 22 episode of NXT, attacking Cruiserweight Champion Kushida.
Speaking of the Cruiserweight division, a former 205 Live star recently revealed that WWE at one point planned to bring in Cruiserweight Tag Team Championship titles.
