It had to come at some point. With the return of the NBA playoffs, All Elite Wrestling and TNT have announced changes in programming for AEW Dynamite.
Sean Ross Sapp shared the press release from TNT where they reveal Dynamite will air on alternate days three times.

“Due to the NBA’s schedule, AEW: Dynamite will make the following shifts on TNT:
- The Wednesday, August 19 episode will air on Saturday, August 22 at 6:00pm ET/ 3:00pm PT
- The Wednesday, August 26 episode will air Thursday, August 27 at 8:00pm ET/ 5:00pm PT
- The Wednesday, September 16 episode will air Thursday, September 17 at 8:00pm ET/PT
The first two shows that have been shifted are in the buildup to AEW’s All Out pay per view. The pay per view is scheduled for September 5, so luckily the go-home show is not one of the episodes affected. This will be the first time Dynamite has been preempted from its timeslot.
It should also be noted that the August 22 show will briefly overlap with NXT Takeover: XXX.
Addition to the AEW being moved on 8/19 and 8/26 due to NBA is that TNT will air AEW on both 8/26 (later in the night) and 8/27 (prime time)

Dave Meltzer also added that TNT will air the August 26 episode both that night and on August 27. It will be interesting to see how moving from their usual timeslot will affect ratings.
