Big Show Turns Again, New Tag Champions Crowned At SmackDown 1000

There are new tag champions on the blue brand thanks to a surprise appearance from The Big Show.

The titles were up for grabs on SmackDown 1000 as New Day defended against The Bar. The match spilled to the outside where the challengers attacked Xavier Woods and threatened to put Kofi Kingston through a table.

Big Show then appeared, seemingly to help New Day. Instead he grabbed Kofi – who was not in the match – by the throat and chokeslammed him through a table.

As Kofi was not in the match this was not a DQ. It did, however, cause a distraction, allowing the Bar to take advantage and win the match and the tag titles.

Kofi will have to wait a little bit longer to reach that mythical 1000 days as tag champion in WWE.

This was the 457th career turn for Show. He will be a babyface again in a couple of weeks though, don’t worry.
