WWE is set to crown the next NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions at the beginning of the August 2 episode of NXT 2.0.
The championship was officially vacated on this week’s show, when Madusa appeared and retrieved the championship from the trash after Cora Jade threw it away the prior week.
Roxanne Perez then also forfeited her title, with a four-way between Toxic Attraction, Katana Chance and Kayden Carter, Tatum Paxley and Ivy Nile and Valentina Feroz and Yulisa Leon set to open next week’s show to crown the new champions.
Per Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio,we may now have an idea as to which team will be taking home the gold next week, as he explained:
“I know there had been talk of Nile and Paxley being champions at one point, so maybe this is that point.”

Madusa’s appearance on NXT actually put her in very specific company with people who have made appearances on two wrestling shows in one night, as she also appeared on NWA Powerrr to introduce the NWA Women’s Television Championship.
