On the January 17, 2020 episode of WWE SmackDown, several matches were made including two big matches with special stipulations. It was advertised whoever won between Reigns and Roode would win the opportunity to pick the stipulation.
Reigns beat Roode. After the match, he names his stipulation as a Falls Count Anywhere. This makes total sense after a match where you just had to fight off outside interference.
Wouldn’t you pick something that would keep people out of the match? I guess not.
.@WWERomanReigns has made his choice.

Meanwhile, Daniel Bryan had also made a challenge. It was confirmed later in the show as official.
Daniel Bryan will be facing The Fiend in a Strap Match. The two men will be strapped together and will fight it out.
This was set up because Bryan was able to attack The Fiend after a set up involving Kane. To escape, The Fiend climbed back under the ring from where had popped through.
Bryan said he’s tired of The Fiend running away from him. In this case, the stipulation makes sense.

Additionally, Lacey Evans will be challenging Bayley for the SmackDown Women’s Title. Lacey beat Bayley and was granted a title match at the Rumble.
Finally, Shorty G and Sheamus are having a match at The Rumble. Sheamus attacked Gable last week and the two had a physical interaction tonight on Smackdown.
If this wasn’t Sheamus’ first match back, this seems like it would be destined for the pre-show. Of course, it might still be.
Finally, a returning Kane has announced himself into the Rumble. A lot of matches were added tonight on the show.
