Big Update On Jey Uso WWE SmackDown Trade Storyline WWE

A major segment appears to be planned for tonight’s (October 13) edition of SmackDown, with the newest member of the SmackDown roster set to be revealed.

At the September 2 Payback premium live event, Cody Rhodes revealed that he had worked out a deal to bring Jey Uso from SmackDown to Raw, following Jey’s feud with the Bloodline.

Following this reveal, it was stated that someone will have to be traded to SmackDown in return to Jey Uso, with Adam Pearce teasing that depending on who it ends up being, the move might ‘piss some people off’.

It appears that fans won’t have to wait much longer to discover who will be joining SmackDown, with Per Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reporting that the reveal was planned for Friday’s edition of SmackDown, as of Thursday.

Indicating that the reveal will happen tonight unless a last-minute change is made to the show’s lineup, Sapp tweeted:

Can confirm that as of Thursday, WWE planned to reveal who would be traded for Jey Uso on WWE Smackdown tonight.

It’s a main roster talent, not NXT.

Jey Uso has already found success on the Red brand, winning the WWE Tag Team Championship alongside Cody Rhodes at the October 7 Fastlane premium live event.

Because this title isn’t tied to one brand, Jey Uso can currently appear for both Raw and SmackDown.

This reveal segment isn’t the only major angle set for this week’s show, with a former world champion set to make his WWE TV debut on SmackDown.
