Reports began circulating last night that All Elite Wrestling (AEW) had heat with Sammy Guevara after the young wrestler reportedly voiced his concerns with an angle that would have seen him appear in IMPACT Wrestling.
The reports noted that some in AEW, particularly those high-up within the promotion, were concerned that Sammy’s actions may have jeopardised the relationship between AEW and IMPACT, although it doesn’t appear as if this has happened.
Speaking about the matter on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that he hadn’t heard of any heat between Sammy Guevara and AEW, and noted that he hadn’t heard that AEW was going to stop pushing him:
“I haven’t heard of any heat on Sammy Guevara… like, “we’re not gonna push him.””
“I had heard from one person at Impact, I don’t know what the creative is that he turned down, but they said that the creative he turned down was something he should turned down. He didn’t like it and they decided to do it with Black Taurus instead and they did not use Sammy.”
