Big Update On Latest John Cena Film WWE

A new report has provided an update on the latest John Cena film.

John Cena is set to star in the “Coyote vs. Acme” movie alongside Will Forte, but the release of the film seems to now be up in the air.

On Thursday, November 9, Warner Bros. announced that the movie has been shelved despite being completed already. The film was originally greenlit for the company’s streaming service HBO Max in December 2020.

In a press release from the company, a spokesperson from Warner Bros. stated that they made the difficult decision due to not focusing on theatrical releases. As of a result, the studio is set to receive a $30 million tax write-off.

On Monday, November 13, Puck News provided a new update, noting that the studio has actually reversed course on the situation.

Warner Bros. will now allow the filmmakers to shop the movie to other studios, such as Paramount and Universal, who are reportedly very interested in the film.

John Cena last appeared on WWE TV at the Crown Jewel event where he lost to Solo Sikoa. This looks to be his final appearance of this run after the SAG-AFTRA strike came to an end on November 8, 2023.

WrestleTalk will provide any further updates on the “Coyote vs. Acme” movie when they become available.
