Potential New Bloodline Members Could Join WWE, Released From Contracts WWE

An Anoa’i family member and his tag team partner have both officially been granted their release from their existing contracts, with WWE and The Bloodline potentially on the cards in the future.

It emerged on Sunday, October 29 that MLW stars Lance Anoa’i and Juicy Finau, two thirds of the Samoan SWAT Team along with Jacob Fatu both requested their releases from the promotion.

Now, according to both Anoa’i and Finau those release requests were indeed granted, with both men confirming as such on Twitter.

Anoa’i tweeted a message of thanks to MLW and his teammates:

As Of TODAY! I have been granted my @MLW Release! I wanna thank MLW! Wanna give a big shout out to my USOs @JuicyFinau and @SAMOANWEREWOLF

Thank you for everything! Love you guys! #SST

While Finau followed up with:

As of today I’ve been released from @MLW

Just want to thank everyone I’ve crossed paths with while I was there. Extremely thankful to MLW for the opportunities! Especially wanna thank my brothers @SAMOANWEREWOLF & @lanceanoai

IM NOW A FREE AGENT

TOKO OUT! OFAS

Finau would then retweet Anoa’i’s announcement with his own message to his teammate, celebrating their respective free agency:

Love you brother! WE OUTSIIIIIIIIIIIDE

Anoa’i is the cousin of Roman Reigns, son of Samu of the The Headshrinkers tag team alongside Rikishi and the nephew of former WWE star Manu.

Unlike Anoa’i and Fatu, Finau is not of any relation to the Anoa’i family.

The news came as a surprise to many, especially just a day after it was reported that former MLW World Champion Alex Hammerstone had also requested his own release.

However, unlike Finau and Anoa’i, according to Fightful Select, MLW do not intend to grant Hammerstone’s release with his contract running until the end of 2025.

While there is no word just yet on where Anoa’i and Finau intend their next destination to be, there is obvious speculation about a potential move to WWE to add yet another dimension to the Bloodline saga.

Technically it’s unknown if both are free agents right now or whether they’ll have non-compete clauses to adhere to.
