Bobby Lashley has commented on the possibility of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson returning to WWE ahead of WrestleMania 39.
There is currently a lot of uncertainty surrounding The Rock’s status for WrestleMania 39.
While it was previously reported that Roman Reigns vs The Rock planned for the April event provided that The Rock had time to train for a wrestling return, recent reports have indicated that the Hollywood star isn’t prepared to make his return to the ring.
Speaking with Sportskeeda, Bobby Lashley noted that he doesn’t know anything about the situation.
Believing that The Rock returning to WWE would be great for the company as a whole, Lashley said:
“What would it mean to the company? The Rock is a huge star.
“So, of course, if he comes back, it’s going to bring a lot of notoriety to us, and being in Hollywood this year, I think there would be a good opportunity that he may be back. I don’t know.
“I have been asked several times if The Rock is coming back. We don’t know anything. I don’t even know what I’m doing next week.
“I can’t really tell you what The Rock is doing, but of course, everybody would love to see The Rock. He’s a huge star. So if he comes back, it’ll be good for all of us.”
It has now been reported that those within WWE have been of the belief that The Rock won’t return to the ring at WrestleMania 39 for months, which you can read more about right here.
