In what has been one of the most talked-about creative decisions in quite some time, The Miz won the WWE Championship at February’s Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. Many expected him to lose the title to Bobby Lashley last week.
Instead, the match was made for the March 1, 2021 edition of WWE Raw. Unfortunately, it took Lashley 3 times to beat the Miz tonight.
The first time Miz backed out due to stomach troubles. The 2nd one Miz got counted out. The final match was a lumberjack match and Bobby Lashley finally defeated Miz in the match. Lashley is the new WWE Champion.

This is Lashley’s first reign as WWE Champion. He held the ECW Championship in WWE, but this would have to be considered his biggest win to date.
It appears he’ll be heading to WrestleMania to fight Drew McIntyre. McIntyre defeated Sheamus in one of the better matches we’ve seen on Raw in quite some time.
Congratulations to Lashley for winning the WWE Championship. We’ll have more on the plans for Lashley and the WWE Championship as it becomes available.
