Bobby Roode Injury Update

Bobby Roode Injury Update

It was reported yesterday that former WWE United States Champion Bobby Roode may have suffered an injury at Saturday night’s Madison Square Garden house show during his loss to Mojo Rawley.

Now, WrestlingNews.co, who initially broke the news of Roode’s supposed injury, are now speculating that it simply could have been the ‘Glorious One’ selling, or it was just a minor blow.

“As we noted on Saturday, Roode’s match seemed to have been cut short and he was helped to the back by the referee. Either he was just selling a storyline injury or he was hurt and it was nothing too serious.”

The former NXT Champion was back wrestling the next day (Sunday) at a live event at Bridgeport, Connecticut, this time defeating Rawley.

Roode also wrestled last night on Raw, when he teamed with Finn Bálor in a losing effort to Constable Baron Corbin and Elias.

If Roode is still suffering from a minor injury, it looks like he will be afforded a little more recuperation time, as he is not scheduled to be part of this Sunday’s WWE Extreme Rules 2018 pay-per-view.

There is also speculation that the former two-time TNA World Heavyweight Champion might be turning heel imminently, in order to rejuvenate his somewhat stale babyface character.
