WWE Hall of Famer Booker T has been providing commentary for the NXT brand since last fall, when he replaced Wade Barrett as the show’s colour commentator.
Booker has named many of the current NXT stars as members of his ‘fave five’, but it’s one of the brands tag teams that recently caught his eye.
Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker praised the Indus Sher duo of Veer and Sanga, claiming them to be a throwback to old school tag teams.
He said:
“I love those guys, Indus Sher. Those guys are so old school. They take me back to, Sanga and Veer, they take me back to what tag team wrestling once upon a time was and it was all about going out there and creating havoc.”
While the history of NXT call ups on the main roster has been shaky in the past, Booker added that he doesn’t see that as a problem for Indus Sher, believing that they could make a splash on the main roster.
He added:
“I think Sanga and Veer could really make a splash on the main roster. Together that’s, that’s two big gears. I don’t need to have more than that.”
Veer Mahaan returned to NXT last year to reunite with Sanga after taking months to come on the main roster before WrestleMania 38.
Indus Sher and Jinder Mahal were defeated by Bron Breakker and the Creed Brothers on this week’s NXT Roadblock show.
