Just over a week ago now, Impact Wrestling announced that it had severed ties with its World Champion, Tessa Blanchard. This came after a reported breakdown in the relationship between the two parties.
In the days that followed her release, it emerged that Tessa Blanchard had already received interest from other wrestling promotions, with one of them being Vince McMahon’s WWE.
On social media, it seems like fans were divided on whether or not they wanted to see Tessa in WWE. She is obviously a tremendous performer, but has been accused of racism and bullying by fellow wrestlers.
The other big player in the wrestling game is obviously AEW, and with the promotion’s women’s division lacking star power, many have speculated that Tony Khan could look to bring Blanchard into the company.
One AEW star who wants to see Tessa sign for the promotion is Big Swole. Swole took to social media to state that she feels Tessa’s best bet would be signing for AEW, a promotion that also employs her father.
With regards to Tessa joining AEW, two-time WWE Hall of Famer Booker T has warned that if she does, Tessa will be a huge fish in a small pond:
“I think in AEW she’ll be a huge fish in a small pond. I think for Tessa Blanchard to go out there and put a stamp on the business, she’s gonna have to go to WWE. She’s gonna have to go there and perform at the highest level under the brightest lights to become as great as I think she wants to be.”
