WWE Hall of Famer Booker T has admitted that he would rather have finished his career in WCW, instead of joining WWE.
Booker T was one of the most decorated WCW stars before the company was bought by WWE in 2001. Speaking with Sam Roberts on the NotSam Wrestling podcast, The former World Champion stated that he never wanted to go to WWE.
Noting that throughout his life, he has learnt to adapt to new situations, Booker T said:
“No, I never wanted to go to WWE, I would rather have stayed in WCW forever and finished my career out there,” Booker T admitted. “But then again, when you get put in a situation, you’ve got to deal with it. I went from being a kid on the street that got locked up in prison, the first time being in jail. I’m going to tell you right now, if you don’t know how to deal with any situation you’re put in, you’re going to find life really, really hard.”
Booker T has worked as a WWE pre-show panellist in recent years, joining commentary at WrestleMania 37 to call Bad Bunny’s wrestling debut.
The Hall of Famer recently argued that a top NXT UK star should dethrone Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship when the time comes.
