Botched Finish To AEW Championship Match On Dynamite?

Botched Finish To AEW Championship Match On Dynamite? AEW

In a big AEW Trios Championship match to end tonight’s edition of AEW Dynamite (March 15) was there a mix up in the finish?

With the massive brawls erupting all over the ring during the AEW Trios Championship match to close tonight’s Dynamite, there were fists flying everywhere.

In the closing seconds of the match, it is Daniel Garcia who takes the finishing move Dante’s Inferno from Brody King however, there is one small problem.

It didn’t initially appear that Daniel Garcia was actually the legal man in the match, as a number of fans pointed out on social media.

However, when you watch it back closely, he was, but there were other mistakes along the way that made it look like he wasn’t:

– Daniel Garcia was legal

– Chris Jericho tagged himself in on Sammy Guevara, who wasn’t legal, so the tag shouldn’t have counted

– Chris Jericho went for a pin and the referee counted it, which shouldn’t have happened because Garcia should still be legal at this point, not Jericho – but this means the referee thinks Jericho is legal at this point

– Jericho leaves the ring, Garcia re-enters, no tag, Garcia is pinned

– So in the end the right person was pinned, but in amongst the chaos, Jericho had tagged himself in on the wrong partner, and the referee counted a Jericho pin attempt that shouldn’t have been counted, then counted Garcia being pinned straight after despite there being no tag between him and Jericho

Elsewhere on AEW Dynamite, the show kicked off with MJF’s re-Bar Mitzvah where he revealed his gruesome face after AEW Revolution and had his birthday bash interrupted by three possible challengers.

Also a hot free agent made their debut appearance on AEW Dynamite before shortly thereafter being announced to be officially ‘All Elite’ by Tony Khan on Twitter.

Finally, The Outcasts came to the ring and had some choice words for AEW fans and the rest of the Women’s Division and of course, QTV debuted.
