Boxing Legend’s Son Signs With WWE WWE

Elijah Holyfield, son of heavyweight boxing legend Evander Holyfield has officially signed with WWE.

The news was confirmed via the WWE NXT Twitter account, who posted a group picture of the latest class of NXT recruits.

Among notable names such as recent NXT debutant Zaria, Bloodline family member Lance Anoa’i and former Miami Dolphins player Atrilleon Williams was Elijah Holyfield, who took part in the SummerSlam weekend tryout in August.

In reaction to the news of his signing, Holyfield took to Twitter, retweeting the image of himself and the other recruits with the following message:

Future is bright!!!

Prior to signing with WWE, Holyfield played college football for the Georgia Bulldogs, before moving on to the NFL where he was signed to the Carolina Panthers, Philadelphia Eagles and Cincinnati Bengals between 2019-2022.

Other new WWE signings names seen in the picture below include:

Karyn Best – Track and Field athete who was part of the 2024 Summerslam tryouts.

Camden Gagnon – Former defensive lineman who was part of the 2024 Summerslam tryouts.

Bayley Humphrey – Gymnast who was part of the 2024 Summerslam tryouts.

Darci Khan -Track and Field athete who was part of the 2024 Summerslam tryouts.

Chase Kline – A former football linebacker who was part of the 2024 Summerslam tryouts.

Kyle Klink – A former football linebacker who was part of the 2024 Summerslam tryouts.

Sirena Linton – a former WWE NIL signing, who was an NCAA All-American Gymnast for Arkansas & Arizona.

Hayley Montoya – Played Women’s Volleyball for the University of Buffalo.
