A boxing legend’s son has made his WWE debut in a match filmed for a brand new show tonight at the NXT Performance Center.
Recently, a new competition show was announced coming to the A&E Network titled ‘WWE LFG (Legends & Future Greats)’.
The show is described as a behind-the-scenes look at “rising talent vying for a coveted WWE contract while being mentored by WWE Legends”, while also including in-ring action.
Set to feature Paul “Triple H” Levesque, Shawn Michaels as well as mentors Undertaker, Booker T, Mickie James and Bubba Ray Dudley, the show is seemingly underway.
Ahead of tonight’s NXT TV taping, the first match for this new show was taped, featuring Performance Center recruits both with notable ties.
The match featured Anthony Luke, who’s a former San Diego State University defensive lineman.
Luke is also the boyfriend of WWE Raw star Maxxine Dupri.
His opponent however was former NFL player and son of notable boxing legend Evander Holyfield – Elijah Holyfield, in what would be his first official match for WWE.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated with any developments about the show as they emerge ahead of the debut on A&E.
