Brandi Rhodes announced via Twitter today she is taking a break from managing Cody. She claims she’s been a distraction at ringside.
She has vowed to not allow herself to be the reason he doesn’t win the AEW World Championship at AEW Full Gear. Cody will challenge Chris Jericho for the AEW World Championship at the pay-per-view.
I have decided to take a break from accompanying my husband to ringside. My inability to focus has been noticeable. I will not allow my…distraction to affect the biggest night of his career. At some point you have to stop dreaming and start doing. I have to wake up. pic.twitter.com/pxAGDtgKNo

Brandi was a ringside for Cody’s AEW: Dynamite match with Sammy Guevara. As you can see in the above video, she took a massive hit when Cody went for a dive to the outside.
Brandi has been with Cody for the majority of his matches in AEW. However, when he faced Shawn Spears he had MJF as his manager.
It wouldn’t be surprising to see MJF accompany him during the big time match at Full Gear. AEW has been teasing an MJF turn on Cody.
However, MJF seems to have proven his loyalty after the Spears match and recently when The Elite were getting attacked by the inner circle.
Either way, it’s disappointing to see Brandi not appearing. She definitely add to Cody’s act.
However, she definitely fits more into his full heel persona. Cody has been working as the clear babyface in this feud and Jericho will be the clear heel.
One thing’s for sure. Cody has been churning out some of the most entertaining matches so far in AEW. The World Championship match at Full Gear shouldn’t disappoint.
