Braun Strowman has responded following the news that he has been released by WWE today – Friday, May 2, 2025.
Strowman is one of five main roster talents to have been released today, in addition to multiple NXT stars as well.
This marks the second time Strowman has been released by WWE.
He started with the company in 2013, and in his first tenure, had risen up from NXT to become one of the top stars on the main roster including a reign as Universal Champion and a WrestleMania win over Goldberg.
He was initially released in June 2021, but returned in September 2022 for a second run that lasted until today.
In response to the news of his departure, he took to social media to post a photo of him having a drink, as you can see below.
The other main roster stars released today, as of this writing, are Dakota Kai, Shayna Baszler, Kayden Carter and Katana Chance.
