Braun Strowman was viciously attacked by Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre on last night’s episode of Raw, and it seems this was a way of writing him off TV.
Strowman has been suffering from an undisclosed injury for some time now, and it seems WWE have taken the opportunity now Survivor Series is over for him to have surgery.
Dave Meltzer noted on the Wrestling Oberserver Radio that the surgery will be on a bone spur, which is an extra piece of bone caused by inflammation.
Google tells me that the average recovery time for this type of surgery is between six weeks and three months, which would rule him out of TLC.
Strowman is scheduled to face Baron Corbin at the show, but Meltzer claimed the likelihood of him being able to compete is “touch and go” at this moment in time.
It was also announced on the show that the next Universal Title defence will be at the Royal Rumble, where Brock Lesnar will once again defend against Braun Strowman.
Despite the surgery, Strowman should have recovered by the time the Rumble comes around.
