On August 24, 2015 Bray Wyatt introduced the ‘Black Sheep’ of his Wyatt Family, Braun Strowman, to the world.
This iteration of the group stayed together for roughly a year before Luke Harper, Erick Rowan and Bray Wyatt moved to Smackdown as part of the Brand Split, whilst Braun Strowman found his home on Raw and was given a monster push as a singles star.
Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt could not be more different from the characters they were when they were aligned nearly four years ago.
This is especially the case for Bray Wyatt, with the former WWE Champion appearing in the incredibly entertaining Firefly Funhouse vignettes to promote his return to the ring.
Braun Strowman has spoken to Wrestling Daze about his former mentor, and said he is happy for Bray undergoing such a drastic yet exciting character change:
“At first, I think it was a total reaction of everyone going, ‘What is going on? What has Bray Wyatt done now?’ But now it’s starting to come full circle and, I’m excited to see the man come back”.
However, Strowman teased a feud with Wyatt, and said he could be stood in the ring with the man who brought him into WWE:
“You never know, he might be standing across the ring from the monster he made.”
